This Fund provides financial assistance to climate change-related activities and is committed to mainstreaming climate change into the Government's agenda.
OBJECTIVE
To attract investments towards climate change-related activities and greenhouse gas emissions reduction and to mainstream climate change into the Government’s agenda, with the overall objective of reducing vulnerability to the adverse effects of climate change.
RECIPIENTS
Public and private entities, local governments, NGOs and civil society in Indonesia.

FOCUS AREA
The fund provides financial assistance to projects aimed at reducing Indonesia’s greenhouse gas emissions and promoting the sustainable use of forest. Other priority areas are health; industry; road infrastructure; transportation; waste management; and water.
HOW TO APPLY
This financial mechanism is composed by two different funds: (i) an Innovation Fund for activities that generate general economic and social benefits; and (ii) a Transformation Fund for low-carbon activities to enhance resilience to climate change.
All applications must be submitted through a governmental institution (ministries or local governments), which will be in charge of contacting the Fund's Steering Committee and following up on the proposal evaluation. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
